It depends on the size of the pots and where you're going to put them. How big are your pots? What part of the country do you live in? Will the pots be in sun or shade?
If you give us a bit more information, we can advise you😊
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Asters, begonias, calendulas, dianthus, echevaria, ficus, gardenia, hosta, impatiens, jalapeno, kentia palm, lettuce, monstera, nasturtium, oleander pansy, quaking grass, rose, snapdragon, thyme, umbrella grass, viola, wasabi, xanthorrhoea, yarrow and zantedeschia aethiopica will all grow in pots ... depends a lot on the pot and where it is.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Is this for your fragrance garden which will possibly be surrounding your artificial lawn?

Which way does the garden face?  Do you have the pots already?  If so, what size are they?

Do you want evergreens?  Annuals?  Herbaceous perennials?  Trees?  Bushes?

It's a very general question you've asked.  Try to be a bit more specific and tell us what you're looking for flowers-wise, foliage-wise etc etc
