Recycled water tank for a pond

Hi, I need some advice / suggestions as to how to bung the holes in a recycled black plastic water tank please. I’m thinking cork or rubber will eventually deteriorate. Is there perhaps a screw thread item that will seal both sides. I have 4 holes to seal.

I highly recommend Sugru - moldable silicone rubber putty. It's fully waterproof and will last well over the years. You can also buy an outside silicone sealant, but you have to buy a big tube. Sugru comes in small packets and you can sand it, paint it, etc if you want. Fine at -40 to +40oC. Available from Ebay etc.

You'll need to use a proper sealant with those as well. Water will find it's way out of the tiniest spaces.  :)

When you put water in, don't fill it. Just put enough in to cover all the holes, then wait to see if it stays there  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

There’s a rubber washer supplied that makes the seal
