Weed?

Hello everyone! I’ve tried a plant id app and had little luck. Can anyone please tell me what this is? I’m guessing it’s a weed as lots of them are popping up in my raised beds.

It does, but it also has a look of knapweed.
Are the leaves soft or firm @Messynessy,and what height is it?

@Messynessy Yes it is Euphorbia I would not touch it without gloves as sap is an irritant. You may find there is a plant say in a neighbours garden that has seeded into yours? They are lovely in flower but it will take a few years for these small seedlings to do so.
Looking forward to my new garden with clay soil here in South Notts.

Gardening is so exciting I wet my plants.

Yeah that stem is a dead giveaway
  • Thanks for all your help. I think I pulled up quite a few last year thinking they were weeds. Will definitely let them grow now.

You probably won't need them all😉
Watch out for the ones that sneak into the middle of shrubs.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Yes it is Euphorbia...it looks like Caper Spurge which was a weed in my last garden as it seeded everywhere.
