Last year I bought a grapevine for £2.50 in the discount bin at the garden centre and over wintered it in the Pollytunnel….it’s now showing signs of growth. Do I cut off the dead branches Then plant it in the ground?

Are you planning to keep the vine in your Polytunnel ?  If so, the usual method is to plant outside and run the vine in the tunnel.  Plenty of support as you let it grow and decide which way to train it.
If planting outside, the same applies - decide whether you want to spread it right and left or just in one direction.  Support again will be needed.
Much depends on the variety as well as your location but for such a young plant, you will need to get the structure and the soil  right before you can expect a harvest.
Once the vine has got to a decent size, you will need to know how to prune it for the best results. Lots of info on this forum via the Search facility or on dedicated sites.

Thanks, I don’t know what type it is….I was planning to plant it in the Pollytunnel and train it to grow across the cross bracing…..I’m not in a position to grow it outside with the vines inside.

Off with the old - on with the new!!   Yes, snip off the old wood.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

It needs to be in the ground even if you keep it in the polytunnel.
We have one (many years old) in an old lean too greenhouse. It is in the ground and every year it is pruned back.

You prune grape vines back to a frame work and pruning normally would have been done earlier in the year. I would have a little search about when and how to prune because they don't always appreciate pruning when in growth.

With yours I would keep the strongest stem to begin where you will train from. The vertical one in the picture looks best.

this grapevine is now growing quickly!I’m trying to train to grow across my crop bars in the Pollytunnel. Do I cut the other vines off and only keep one?
