Italian Cypress… what’s going on….

Hi all! Don’t know if you remember me (if you’re into cypress trees you might) ..

I posted last year about our new acquisition - our lovely Italian cypress trees in our planter.

Well  happily I can tell you they all “took” to their new environment and have been thoroughly happy and grown around 1.5-2ft!

just went for a look at them though and they have some weird brown “tips” to them…..

can someone take a look at the photos attached please and let me know what’s happening with them! Is this normal cypress/conifer behaviour at this time of year or is something afoot?

I’m in the southeast (uk)

many thanks in advance for any help/advice you can offer.

They're flowering, looks like you might get some cones.
