Epiphany in the greenhouse

Am out repairing greenhouse which I really thought I would lose yesterday- standing inside it, in the rain, am really struck by how much joy this little structure gives me- gardening really is magical!

  • I could have written that, word for word. Repairing greenhouse here too for same reason.

Yay!!! I've found somewhere I belong!! Polycarbonate structure,  not posh but my haven of creation!
Rain isn't helping silicon stick and wind isn't helping panels fit!
Silicon is pink having been mixed with blood from a cut trying to make the panel fit.
Have to confess to opening a can of larger for encouragement but I'll tough it out here with the 2 of you and we will overcome!! 🤣
  • Miraculously both my allotment and home greenhouses came through unscathed although my 30 year old waney lap fence panels in my garden are shredded and I'm running out of pallet wood to repair them, have you seen the price of new fence panel and posts these days? Shocking!
  • Polycarbonate here too @WonkyWomble - it will survive to last another season- when the rain stops I have a lot of gaps to tape up but happy just to hang out here - headphones on and happy as the proverbial pig in ………

Lol right there with you @earlydaze! Dripping all over the place but it does mean the seedlings are getting watered!! And hardening off nicely whether they want to or not!! 👍🤣 audiobook keeping me going.... I'm sure everything will be just fine! 😉 ain't nothing like real living! 😀
  • We bought some of this clear UV resistant tape

That, plus silicone, should see it right for all of  24 hours!!

Think I'll be there tomorrow @Penny_Forthem thank you! 👍
  • I remember my dad giving me a cuff round the ear for having a pithiny in the corner of his greenhouse.

I listen to MC Beaton audiobooks while in the greenhouse.  I love the sound of the rain while I'm in there,  as long as I've fixed the roof panels that is!!!!
