Any suggestions please on a good quality peat free compost?

Usually coming out top of the rankings is Melcourt Sylvagrow. Go on their website to find stockists; they’re not that numerous.
A big problem with compost, especially peat free compost, is variable quality between one batch and another despite being made by the same company.

Check out garden Which, for February, they have latest reviews. I agree with
@BenCotto
batches vary a lot, last times best buy is not necessarily a guarantee of great performance. I too find Melcourt one of the most reliable.

Dalefoot Wool Compost is by far my favourite (

I have also used the sylvagrow ericaceous and quite liked it, definitely much better than the ericaceous I'd bought before (westland I think)
