Best soil temperature for seedlings.

I have sown some chilli and tomato seeds that have germinated well on a heat mat and have now potted these on. Is there any benefit to having the seedlings sat raised just above the heat mat or will they from on the same if left in the greenhouse where the temp at the moment is at a minimum of 7 degrees? Thank you in anticipation.

Both will require higher temperatures than in your greenhouse.
Tomatoes will suffer if the temperature drops below 13c for chillies it's around 15c, so best to keep them warm and with lots of sunshine.
