Good morning all. Another windy one here. An hour or so of shopping and that's me done and home.

  • Good morning @Uff … OH says it’s still a bit breezy here but nothing like it was yesterday … he’s just been out there on his bike to grab a few bits and bobs from the shop before the throng arrives … now for another coffee ☕️

Hope those with toothache etc have had a reasonable nights sleep and can get fixed soon.

I’m feeling much better this morning … I can swallow without pain and haven’t needed paracetamol yet today 👍

I’m glad you’re onDove. I was a bit worried that you were sick.  Too hot here. I’ve got the air con ping until it gets a bit cooler outside.

  • I’m ok thanks @Pat E … I slept really well.
I’ll be interested in my PCR test result … if I have had Covid then the jabs have worked really well as I’ve not been very ill at all really.

  • Morning @Dovefromabove andall to follow. Glad to hear the throat is better.

I'm just back from the kine. He has used acupuncture today, all attached to a pulsating machine. I'm not sure I am benefitting from the effect yet, but it certainly felt like it was shifting something. Rather a bizzarre experience, arm twitching of it's own accord. I did manage to sleep better, getting up just once for painkillers.

Working today, but I have help, am mostly making cakes for when I am away, something I actually find relaxing, so not too much stress - I hope.

    Good wishes to all.

  • Good morning,  happy February,  very bright but still breezy here too. Not decided what to do today yet.  I might be taking one of my fellow plotholders to help him get his seed spuds. He is in his mid 80's, but suffering with memory problems,  he's concerned that even if he finds the GC he might not get back.  I have done this trip the last 2-3 years now.

  • Good morning, Feb forkers.
How did it get to be February? We're on our way to spring. It'll be Christmas before you know it.

    Good morning all.

    Glad you feel better @Dovefromabove

A man has just been to look at the front door and give me an estimate for a new one. He is French and was recommended by the plumbers who installed my new bath. It's old, needs painting, swells when the weather is damp so that it drags on the floor and it lets in draughts.

There should also be someone coming sometime today to install a "Linky", the French Smart Meter. The old meter is so high I have to climb a ladder to read it and when I'm away the meter reading man can't get in because it's all fenced with an electric gate.

    Hi all

Another very stormy night, but no damage.
Aconites and first snowdrops flowering, so spring is on the way.
Some sad news today, a young man who was a patient with me in 2020 , during the lockdown, has died. I stayed in touch with him, because I thought that due to COVID, he was possibly not able to access the care he needed.
Reminds me of what a scary time it was, we were both quite sick, but neither of us were allowed a single visitor.
