Blackcurrant obejyn

Advice please!
On my allotment I have a blackcurrant obejyn that is being swamped by raspberry Autumn Bliss. Can I dig it up and move it without harming it?

Also, how do I stop the raspberry Autumn Bliss from spreading, it is quite a thug and invading everything in it's path, my asparagus too.

Thanks so much in advance.

Depends on how big the blackcurrant is. If its quite old, I would take hardwood cuttings now  and push them in where you want them.  Digging up a big old bush would probably kill it.  Raspberries spread. Sever the runners and replant where you want them or give them away.

Fabulous! The Bush is only a couple years old.
How big should the cutting be? Thanks for this tip looking forward to giving it a go

Take hard wood shoots (2nd year) as thick as a finger or pencil and a foot long, and just push them in about four inch deep where you want them. If you have clay soil, lighten it with some compost. They root very easily in sandy soil.
