Size of seed potatoes - would you gripe?

Bought online after looking at rather nice images of Arron Pilot potatoes - 8 tubers for £10.90 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09QM68Z44/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm not happy with the delivery.... would you be?  BTW the egg is L size.

I think the claim that these are the largest size possible  is a downright lie.  You can buy a bag better than that from the poundshop.

Well, they do look healthy but have to say they are expensive and I'd be more miffed about the price than the size. I haven't looked at the price of seed potatoes in garden centres this year so perhaps I shouldn't comment.

That's approximately x10 the price they should be

I would definitely gripe over the price.
although out of stock at the moment, or maybe the season, but SimplySeed is a reputable company, I’ve used them a lot,  are selling 4 packs for 9.99.
    the potatoes are 1kg packs.

Interesting @Lyn - no it's actually says 8 tubers. I've left a review with the pic, people can make up their own minds before they buy.

I would not be overly concerned by the size but I would be bothered by the price. The problem is the price was clearly displayed and yet you were not put off despite there being several cheaper online suppliers.

I've not had a garden in the UK for about 20 odd years so I'm a bit rusty. Think I was swayed by reading that seed potatoes are selling out quickly, and I also read a write up on how great Arron Pilot potatoes are.... so I guess all in all I took my eye off the ball. The reason why I posted was because I wasn't sure my grievance was valid. Guess I was hoping someone would come along and say it was a fair purchase :|

Just been looking through Suttons website, many varieties are now not available, though I'm just about to order a kg of Apache £5.99 and a kg of Charlotte £4.99. Both for growing in bags.

Just hope these Arron Pilots are early and they taste nice.
