Digging a new border in the frosty but sunny South East Welsh hills

Hard at work digging in the garden yesterday, I was delighted and quite amazed to see a beautiful red admiral butterfly and what looked like 2 sleepy honeybees,  not on the offering of hundreds of snowdrops, but sunning themselves on my washing!  It’s just so early in the year for them? I wish I had a photo to show you all, but by the time I’d run back in the house to get my camera and out again, they’d gone 😢 .  Has anyone else seen any other unusually early creatures yet? There’s hope spring is round the corner 🤞
