I inherited this one . We moved in last March and it’s done nothing yet. Anyone know what it is please ?

    Might be iris  foetidissima.  But if it looks to have been deliberately planted, then it's unlikely.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Thank you B3. I doubt that it was planted there to be honest as it’s the only plant on a large patio area. Following your suggestion I’ve looked it up on rhs site and one of the pics shows a seed pod with red berries. I’ve seen similar in next doors garden so it’s probably come from there via the birds. I will take a look at their plans when it’s light !
    I will probably remove it as it’s not doing much and looks a bit odd where it is really.
