Petunias -chuck or can they be cut back and saved ?

So sad to throw plants away - but I know they are cheap to replace- but can they be saved in the greenhouse for next year ?

    They would need to be kept in a frost free greenhouse selinasally as they are quite tender. You can take cuttings from them too.

    I did buy some of the "world first" hardy Perennial ones a few years back. They overwinterered fine in their hanging baskets,they did go a bit woody,tended to have flowers just at the end of brownish stems. I wouldn't say they were cheap,not if you buy a decent size plant in a (whisper it quietly) Garden Centre. I usually buy plugs,a lot of time,room,and potting on
