Buying a quince tree root stock C

Hello All,
I have tried to buy a quince tree from a garden centre for the past 2 years but to no avail.  The few online retailers I have seen that allow a choice of root stock also seem to be out of stock, such as Keepers Nursery.  Would anyone be able to recommend any reputable retailers please.  I am in the Manchester area
Thank you

but they do appear to be selling out fast.  You may have to order ahead ...

This company always gets good reviews. They have trees in stock but don’t mention the rootstock. You could give them a call.

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.

Blackmoor nursery in Hampshire is always brilliant for fruit trees (I ordered some step-overs from them again just this week), they always give excellent quality and everything is packed very securely for delivery so that nothing gets damaged in transit, although I note that their current stock is on Quince A, which isn't quite what you want. I would second @pansyface's recommendation of Ashridge, they are also very good.

I have also just ordered some fruit trees from Pomona Fruits, who seem to have a good general selection of fruit trees, although I haven't looked at their Quince's specifically and they don't seem to mention rootstock type on any of their listings. I have never used them before, so I can't vouch for the quality just yet, but on the surface of things they look good.

I ordered some trees from Suttons that turned up in poor condition (in one case dead) and with damage that has persisted on some of the trees that did survive, so from a personal point of view I would not recommend them and am now steering clear of them, although other people may have had different experiences.

    Hope this helps.

I pre-ordered a peach tree from them around August and it arrived a few months later. I can also vouch for them - they were great.

Until recently they were almost completely sold out of all fruit trees but it seems they have more coming up for sale now, so it could be worth calling them and asking about which tree they recommend and when it'll be available. They're very helpful on the phone.
