Hello dove, lots of nudging going on! Has it ever flowered Susan? They are quite touchy. Realistically mine flower every 2years and late winter. I only feed my orchids if they have buds or flowers, otherwise, yes, you get nice green leaves. What is your watering routine, where is it kept?
  • It had flowers on when my daughter in law bought it me last year, after losing my son. So i have caed for it just over a year. I only water it very sparingly about once a fortnight. Thank you for your reply.

Am so sorry for your loss. Where do you keep the orchid?
  • Thank you. I keep it on my kitchen window sill.

It looks very healthy but could have been forced into flower when you had it.
    Don't give up.
It will need to sort itself out in its new home with you.
Don't feed it anymore and keep watering down. If you can use rain water.
Put it on a gravel tray and spray it to keep the humidity up.
It will come back and kitchen window sills are where we first grew our orchids.
  • Cheers for you reply and tips. I wont give up on it.

Mine are not sitting on shingle, they were when I had a few, there are too many now. These ones are happier with more heat and sun than the Moth orchid. They do like warmth.
Rain water if you can access it,I water all year, don't feed unless there's buds or flowers.
  • Thank you.
