Veg Compost

I have a small courtyard garden so I grow everything in containers, including (this year) potatoes and tomatoes. Now I have harvested both could I use the left over compost for potting plants going forward, such as tulips and other flowering plants (rather than growing any further veg)? Would I need to add some form of improver in order to do this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Rather than repeat it, there's a post at 0912 today titled Reusing Compost which will serve your purpose I think.
