White aubergine???

I planted white aubergine in my green house next to tomatoes and banana peppers. They have not turned out white they are red in colour and the shape of a tomatoes. When I cut into it they are similar to aubergine. Can you tell me why this has happened? Thanks

May be a mixup of the seeds. I grow a type of aubergines which resemble the shape and size of tomatoes - Turkish orange.

I agree it’s probably a seed mix up.

Can you post a photo of the red aubergine? You can do this by clicking on the ‘mountain icon’.

There’s also the melanzana rossa in Italy and the scarlet eggplant, a cultivar of Solanum aethiopicum (also called Ethiopian eggplant or mock tomato).
