Green house and veg plot in a north facing garden

Hi everyone,
I have a North Facing garden which is about 70 feet long and 13 feet wide.  I want to put a small greenhouse and some raised veg beds at far end of the garden where most of the sun is. Because of structures in the garden and for design, ideally I would like the greenhouse first (i.e. slightly nearer the house) then the veg beds directly after it. Do you think the greenhouse will let enough light through to the veg beds or will it block the sun from veg beds? Its my first garden so I'm learning as I go.
Thanks
Tina

The greenhouse needs to be where it gets most sun, but leave enough space around it so you can maintain it.
The greenhouse will, as you suggest, diminish light for your veg beds.
So greenhouse at the end and veg beds in front would be my suggestion

  • Thanks Pete.8. I thought this might be the case. I had hoped to use the greenhouse to create some separation of space in the garden. Glad I checked before starting the work.

Any chance of a picture,to gauge any other structures, trees that might cause shade. We have done this.
