Hi to all I'm new to this so here goes I have a cordyline and on the trunk a  new plant is growing, now do I leave it or cut it  away and plant it.Any ideas would be most appreciated thanks

  • I would leave it but then you can find some useful info here on cutting it and making a new plant

    Lovely colour.

I'd leave it as you will get a multistem cordyline which I think look better. We had a really harsh winter here about 15 years ago and it killed off all the top growth of every cordyline in the area but those who left them, like me, saw multiple new heads form and now have lovely multistem plants.
  • Thank you for your response and I think I will do the same, many thanks
