Sweet Peas

Hi, I've read it's best to start Sweet Peas off now.
Can I leave them on a windowledge over winter? Not in direct sunlight and there is no heating on in there.

Thanks

Fred

Yes, you can certainly sow seed now. Just make sure they aren't over cossetted. They should take around 2 to 4 weeks to germinate, so if they're quicker than that, it's too warm for them.
Lack of light makes them etiolated, so you may find it better to have them outside in a cold frame or similar, depending on your climate.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
