samxj help please

what is eating the leaves on my brugmansai (angel trumpet) which i took the lakes with me
to look after it   since the middle of september some thing is eating the leaves of a lot of my potted plants i have checked the plants daily during the day but no sign of the culprit
only holes were he has been   does he return to the compost of a day to rest and return in 
the evening i in tend changeing the compost washing the roots this month october
and start spraying early next season

    I know nothing about them I'm afraid @samjx, but if you can post a photo, someone will hopefully be able to offer advice  :)
    The icon that looks like hills is for uploading photos. 

    No point in spraying if you don't what the problem is.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    They are tender plants in the U.K. ,  they would need bringing inside through the winter.
    are you living here now and brought the plant with you?
    We have Vine weevils which eat leaves of plants but you won’t see them through the day. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
