Swimming pool on grass

Hello
This is the second year we put an above ground swimming pool in our lawn during the summer. Last year when I removed it in autumn I just worked the soil a bit, reseeded and it was all back quite fast. I do remember doing it earlier than this time of the year though.
Is it too late to do this again now? Any other ideas? 99% sure we will put the pool again on the same spot next summer, I just don't want a 2m x 3m rectangle of weeds in the middle of the lawn during the spring..
