Hydrangea Wims Red - colour change

Does anyone have Hydrangea Paniculata Wims Red and if so could you describe the colour change please?
Is it as simple as white in Spring, pink in summer and red in Autumn?
Thanks.

    Yes.  :)
I don't have this one, but the depth of colour change is often just down to weather conditions. Most of the paniculata whites have these changes, although not to the same extent [ie the dark red later on] . The oakleaf types and a few others stay white.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I have one and this year hasn't quite turned as dark as this time last year...but we have had horrible weather this year. I absolutely love the honey like fragrance and it gets covered in pollinators.

I have a hydrangea Miss Saori in its second year which I bought purely for the lovely variegated petals it had. This year it is just like any other pink hydrangea so it's very disappointing. Whether it needed more water or feeding I don't know.
  • It would be ever so helpful if they could tell you,  wouldn't it?
    Thank you all for replying.
