The result of the free seeds from Gardeners World Magazine

Gardeners World magazine gave us some free seeds way back at the beginning of the year. I planted sunflowers and rudbeckia.  The dwarf sunflowers have finished, but were a talking point for people passing the front of my house.  I grew the taller ones at the back.  One got too top heavy and collapsed but the remaining one is doing well, with the rudbeckia alongside it.  So thanks Gardeners World magazine for giving us the chance to brighten our gardens this year.

Ive really enjoyed the free seeds too, tried things I hadnt before.  The single dahlia especially were fantastic, prolific, wildlife magnet and lovely in a posy. I've ordered more for next year already. The cornflower were lovely as well.

Beautiful  @JenKent,  maybe next year you could get some long canes and stake them or maybe a nail in the fence with some string to hold them up,  lovely free seeds though.

  • Wow @Jac19 that's a serious plant support you've got for your sunflower!  :D
