Yellow Rose identification

Can anyone suggest what Rose this is (if I can remember how to upload the photo). It was from my late father in law's garden in the Forest of Dean and was there when he moved in in the mid 1970s.  Young buds opening are a deep yellow changing to a bright (light) yellow as the flower opens and matures. The fragrance is wonderful. John H

..unmistakeably.. 'Arthur Bell'... the foliage, blooms, buds and receptacle are all identical.. as is the reported fragrance from you..

Introduced in 1965 incidentally, which also fits the timeframe..

  • Thank you Marlorena, Eileen (my wife) has always wondered what it was - she took a cutting just before her dad passed away in 2010 and now a friend has asked for a cutting too so it's good to know what it is. John. H

  • I've taken 3 cutting today following Monty Don's instructions and they are in my GH. It will be interesting to see if they take OK.
