The package says 'avoid bending over weeding object'.
Should we be worried?
There's a Q scan thing in the  package label which I assume would be dangerous to scan.
Ought we to do anything but bin it?

Could someone have sent it to you as a gift? I received unsolicited packages from Amazon last week but it was wine and sweets and it was my birthday. Turned out, my brother had sent them but he'd forgotten to add a gift message.

That's the thing. Not from Amazon but delivered by Herpes apparently. I note a rave review dated 18/9. Around about the time it would have arrived here.
Do they make up names for a brushing scam or do they use the victims username?

I've no idea about the brushing scams but I suppose you could try to contact the seller and ask to be removed from their records (data protection and so on). Or post your own review about the unsolicited delivery.

And now that you have it, you could keep it if you have any use for it.

It turns out there was no "brushing scam" and nearly always the person ordered the thing themselves ages ago and forgot. If it was ordered via another company name and sent from China, you might not have the name in your records.

The review from Kelly is very positive and, she adds, it “can be attached to anything you have at home”. If I were your dog/cat/partner I’d be keeping a low profile until bin day.

Joking apart, it's a bit worrying @B3. A slight step up from crappy seeds in those scams.

I think companies do send out these gimmicky things in the hope of a review.
