Grass Crown Above Soil
Last year I reseeded a few parts of the lawn. In some areas the grass seems to have grown above the soil, so you can see the roots, and pulls out very easily. I don’t think this is normal. Any ideas where I might have gone wrong and what I can about it?
Thanks in advance.

I'm just wondering if it's pulling the grass out rather than cutting cleanly.
Or - has the new grass not been in good contact with the soil? Sometimes, when you re seed areas, it can be hard to get a good contact between the seed and the soil, so it doesn't knit so well.
If you have any photos, that might help with other ideas too

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
