Any particular sort of weed ... or just .... 'weed'?

Differentiate in what way, appearance, perfume, taste?

Are you wanting to differentiate between seedlings or mature plants with flowers?

This sounds like a wind up!
  • Try drying and smoking it ?   Weed should give you a lift unlike Oregano ;)

Oregano smalls like oregano - most weeds have little or no smell.
If you're still not sure try smoking it :)

But you might feel very hungry afterwards @philippasmith2 ...... kleftiko roast lamb with oregano would be good 😋

  • If the OP has Oregano as well as being able to recognise a lamb that's another query sorted thanks to the Forum :D

    We're nothing if not versatile @philippasmith2 😇

  • Not the plant. The dried version by the texture or smell.
  • Smell.

Sounds like OP mixed up his/her herbs with 'herb'. Or found a suspect bag.

Well, one smells of oregano and the other smells of weed.

If you’re not familiar with the respective smells then I can’t think of a way to describe them.

You need to find someone who has some and smell theirs … or buy some dried oregano from a supermarket and familiarise yourself with the smell.
    😎
