Hyacinth for Christmas?

Hi all, I bought some Hyacinth bulbs. Think they are just the normal ones rather than the "prepared ones". Wonder if anyone's got experience successfully forcing them to bloom indoors for Christmas pls? Was reading one method that involves covering them and leaving them in cold but not sure if that works for untreated bulbs. Thanks!

  • Sorry, unprepared ones won't flower by Christmas whatever you do now.  Even prepared ones should be planted the first week in September to be pretty sure of getting them in flower for Christmas.

  • Alright... have to be patient and wait for Spring then. Thanks Dove!
