What have I done?

  • Winds swirl around high walls and hedges  …. it’s one of the reasons that farmers used to cut down hedges around wheat fields as the winds would buffet and flatten the crops alongside them.

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    This one is in a less fierce part of the wind tunnel than the others, Dove.
  • Love the scaffolding -it's an idea that I haven't considered for my rampant, over bearing piped red grape vine.  There is no end to this beast from the south brought to the Midlands.  Grapes used to me really small (bunches) but 'grapes' getting bigger and with good yeast cover. Last year got a good 4 pints, the Juice lasted about 2 months.

  • Re SUN flower with limited ⛅, taking measurements tomorrow, but......the top is flowering!!!!!  There are about 10 more buds.  How can someone like me get into gardening?   Don't tell my wife if she joins - she' ll reel off all sort of flower names - love it;!;
