Viewing GW site - pop up disable ad blocker' box

Sorry this is not to do with gardening, but... every time I open the GW site I get a pop up box asking me either to register or disable the ad blocker. I am automatically logged in when this happens, and we know where disabling the ad blocker leads. Does anyone else get this If I click on register then go back, it solves it but it's very annoying. Is there a setting?

I've never had it, so can't be of any help at all.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Same with me on my personal laptop. I just ignore it and after a few random clicks ("Yes, ok i'll unblock it") it seems to be fine again, with the ad-blocker still on.

On my business laptop there isn't an ad-blocker and I don't have too much of an issue with the ads anyway...
  • You should be able to disable the ad blocker for this site only, which should solve the problem.

I use AdBlock Plus which works well and I never have to click anything.
It just works in the background and prevents ads appearing

  • I get the same problem. It works fine when I'm using the forum but if I want to view any other content on gardenersworld.com then I get a pop up asking me to disable adblock or to register. I then have to sign in again (even though I'm already signed in) to make this go away.

I tried disabling the ad blocker for GW only and was assaulted by flashing, animated ads. V unpleasant. I am using adblock plus.
I don't think it's for the forum, just the general website.
The issue seems to be that it treats me as not logged even/registered though I am. I'd post the pop up but it's not popping up now as I have sorted it for the evening.
  • It's not a universal remedy, but you might find that using Reader View where possible will overcome this. (I have a Mac but assume there is an equivalent on Windows, if that is what you're using.)

Is it that blue advert? I've seen it a couple of times and scrolled past without any difficulty
