still okay to direct sow foxgloves seeds now?

my seedlings from an early July sowing are super small and not really progressing, it is still okay to just direct sow now in September? Many thanks

You can sprinkle the seeds direct on the soil of wait for the plants to drop them then next year you can move the little plants to where you want.
you can just keep potting on the seedlings as they grow  that you’ve already sown, they’ll grow very slowly over winter if at all but will shoot up next Spring.

The plants are still shedding seeds now so that's usually a good sign that direct sowing will work.
Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people
  • thanks- of course that makes perfect sense wild edges.... still always second guessing myself though!
