Help! A total amateur in need of potted fruit tree pruning advice!!

Hi,
Please can someone tell me how/when to prune these two trees? The taller of the two is a cherry tree (never had fruit) & the smaller is a pear tree (fruited for a couple of years but nothing recent). They’re both around 5 years old & I’ll be honest, they’ve been very neglected! They might be beyond saving for all I know but I would like to try! I’ve repotted them using John Innes No 3 & have fed them, but I’m totally clueless on pruning! The pear tree has a few low level branches that have leaves but nothing higher up - do I get rid of the lower branches to encourage growth further up? Like I say, totally clueless so all advice gratefully received!
