Rose problem

Hopefully someone can help have problem with rose lesions have look up but can’t find anything regarding this one day rose stems are perfect and within a couple of days these lesions are on all the new stems help please on curing if possible thankyou

Hi - bad luck - sawfly. The adults females saw out these wounds in the stem to lay their eggs, and the larvae hatch and eat the leaves. The lesions don't seem to harm the plants, and often get removed when deadheading or later when pruning. However, the larvae can defoliate very vigorously, so best to look for them and squish them.
