Screening Plants

Hi.
what plants can you suggest I put in front of the railing, for privacy and colour?

  • You need to give a bit more information on site and conditions. Is it a sunny spot, is the soil free draining? Maybe even the depth of the bed would be useful.

Yes - need more info.  :)
Do you want a hedge, or a mix of shrubs and perennials etc? Do you have limited time to maintain it, or do you want something low maintenance?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • If it were me - a tightly clipped hedge. Sometimes a formal garden can look quite smart.
  • Thanks all for your comments. It’s West facing, soil is free draining. I have limited time to care for the plants.
