Hi everyone, I’ve been in my home for around 1 year now and the garden wasn’t very well looked after, anyway I’ve come home from holiday to a right weed infest? I was thinking of doing these steps:
1) Evergreen 4 in 1 (to kill weeds & moss)
2) Next week Scarify & Aearate
3) Seed & rake a couple of bags of compost over and water in?
4) Fertilise? (Which fertiliser?)

You can then use an autumn weed and feed. That contains a feed suitable for this time of year. Anything else will tend to produce a lot of lush, soft new growth which can then be hit by colder temps, which isn't great for your grass going into autumn/winter.
If you're in a very warm part of the country it might be fine, but letting it get a little longer will solve most of the problem.
