Weed ID (my final one*)

*for now

Hi all,

I’ve just been doing some tidying up for the elderly lady along the street.

She has a lot of this in her front garden border.

It feels like plastic. Very tough and wiry.

Any ideas?

As always I appreciate the help and guidance.

J.

I'll not pull any more out until I know how pernicious (or not) it is!

Some type of Mustard, judging by the seed pods.

I did think it was similar to the bittercress I had ID'd yesterday.

So nothing too terrible?  I think everything is horsetail/japanese knotweed when I see something new! @BobTheGardener

Not something you want to leave to go to seed but definitely not as bad as horsetail or bindweed or couch grass...

Not a problem but look at how many seeds there are - at least 10 to each pod so thousands of them!  I'd have them out before the pods go brown and start releasing, or they'll likely pop-up everywhere. ;)

Yes I think she'll have this popping up for a while.

I'll clear it all using my plastic bag trick (right over it and then pull up) that I started using for willowherb.

She's two gardens away so hopefully they won't pop that far!
