This plant has started growing but I can't identify it, can you help please?

    I think that’s a type of Salvia. Viridis maybe. 
    Leaves have a very distinct smell. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • Variety 'Blue Denim' by the looks of it.
  • Thanks for all the help i believe you are right the only remaining mystery is how it got there
  • They self seed quite readily and the seed is quite hard so could persist for some time I guess.
  • Maybe 'dropped' by a bird?  I notice it's growing at the foot of a tree.
