Pure guess...maybe Sanvitalia procumbens.

The only yellow ones I spotted in the intro were evening primrose.

I have just had a look on the iplayer and in the intro there was a section at Knoll Gardens showing a close up of evening primrose (Oenothera) as @Woodgreen says. Around the 1.35 mark.
