Veg Trug

Hello I’m hoping someone can give advice on wintering a veg Trug. I have grown small cabbages, onions, carrots, beetroot and spinach this year but as the crops are harvested I was wondering how best to get it ready for next year, without emptying it. I was wondering about a green manure?
