I used to prune the ceanothus in my daughter's Fulham house. What a dreadful smell the cuttings and leaves made.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
