Identification - a bean of some kind?

Can anyone identify what this plant is?  Fairly short.  Typically what looks like about 4 brown speckled beans in each pod.

    Perhaps a tree lupin?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I think it’s a chickpea pod - I grew some a couple of years ago.  Good fun but not enough harvest to be worth the bother!

I would say a tree lupin, in the legume family.
  • Many thanks all for the suggestions.  The leaves do resemble lupin, but the pods were distributed singly and all over the plant, not in clusters on spikes like lupins.  I’ve also had a check and chickpea leaves look different. Any other ideas very welcome.  :o)

  • The seed pods look very much like one of our tree peony seed pods but the leaves are much finer in your photo.

    None of the above.

Can you give us more information?  How did it get there?  Any flowers?
