Eucalyptus has spots

Hi there
we have a eucalyptus which is about 8foot and has developed speckled leaves which then fall off. I have noticed my lilac bush (3 bushes away) has also a few spotty leaves but that might be a coincidence. Have I a pandemic on my hands ??
