Should I plant Japanese Honeysuckle?

emte_1emte_1 Posts: 1
Hi, I recently ordered two Japanese honeysuckle plants before realising how invasive the plant is. While I did cancel the order, the company still sent me the plants and have advised that I can keep them for free. However, I am uncertain if it is safe to grow these in plant pots given how aggressively invasive they are. My home is surrounded by farmland and so I am worried about the plants spreading. Any advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks  :)

I wouldn't describe it as invasive. It's vigorous, but so are most honeysuckles. It wouldn't pose any problem re farmland.
They won't grow in pots anyway - not suited to that.  :)

It’s considered to be invasive in some parts of the USA … not in the UK.

Google can cause alarm if you’re not forewarned about the differences in various countries, climates and continents. 😉
