Plant ID

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could identify the purple-flowered plant in these pictures. I would like to buy another one, but can't find the label from when I bought this one a year ago.

Thanks in advance

Robert

Sorry @RoddersUK - I put Lysimachia initially, because in my head I think of all of them as Lysimachia, then remembered it's only the yellow one  :D

  • Thank you! I'll go out tomorrow on the lookout for Lythrums! I have to say I absolutely love it.

It looks a nice size and they divide well, so in the autumn, when it dies down you can move some of it. Dividing will spur the original plant into growth as well.

Should say they also come easy from seed and if you start them early enough they often flower in the first year.
  • Thank you for that advice. I might try and find some seed and give it a go!

Save some from your plant  :)
You can do that, and divide it as well. Try both and see what works best for you.
