Euonymus shrub

I have a Euonymus bush which is infested with flies and or hornets/wasps what can I do or purchase to remedy this to extinguish this problem. The bush is right by our front door and tradesmen are in possible danger. I have tried to make a neem oil solution but with little or no effect. I look forward to some suggestions please.

You may have a wasp's nest in it. You'd have to look....
Flies are fairly normal around many plants,  so that isn't necessarily anything unusual.
Unless you've got a body buried

We have lots of yellow Euonymus shrubs and ours also have lots of flies, hoverflies, wasps and bees all over. It is quite noticeable. Further up the street it's the same thing. Ours have small yellow flowers which may be contributing. 
I think that they are just really attractive to the insects to be honest.

Having insects of all types is also all part of having plants.
