Big problem down here in Devon. Spreads along waterways. Every year there are campaigns for volunteers to remove swathes of the stuff growing beside our local streams. Yes, it is very beautiful to look at though.

Thanks, my son spotted it on a woodland walk with my granddaughter I assume it’s not native to the UK?
It might be a good idea to notify your local Wildlife Trust or someone in case it’s a recent occurrence they don’t know about … then they can organise its clearance.
