Pop-up Chicory

Hi walking round friend’s big garden we saw the flowers had come out on a plant we hadn’t known identify of. I think it might be chicory, any one other ideas? Very pretty flower but tall & lots of big leaves & spreading!

We had this one recently - it's Common blue sow-thistle rather than Chicory.

ah thanks for that. She’s never had it before & there’s quite a lot popping up.

Although the flower is very pretty, it's a prolific seeder as well as being perennial, so can quickly become a bit of a pain.
