Is this plant a Passiflora?

davebettzdavebettz Posts: 103

Like my last post my dad got given another cut off but he wasn't sure what it was, we think it's a Passiflora?

It's growing quite fast I've going to put some trailing wire across and get it growing above our kitchen window.
Do these flower? So far we've had the heads and thought they were about to flower but they dropped out and looked like seeds?

    Yes, I agree.

They do flower, but your plant looks young and they can take a while to get going. Don't give it too much fertiliser. Is it in the sun? Looks a bit tucked away there, they like sun to flower. The flowers don't last long, only a day or so, I think. When the plant is more mature it will make many more flowers so there are always replacements.

Yes it's in the sun just shaded cause the patio doors open.

It is young less than 2 months but it's doing really well in that planter it's shot up really quickly

It’s got a few buds on, you’ll see what it will be like.
Once established you’ll be cutting it back,  it goes for miles of you leave it😀

The buds had something inside and they just fell out.

    Hoping it flowers next year

In the first post last pic inside we thought they would be buds but then we kept finding them on the floor and they were closed up what looked liked seeds
